I'm a full-time artist currently living in Victoria, BC. I recently moved from Calgary, Alberta where I have taught art lessons to adults, teens, and children at several facilities. I've created work for NHL and NFL players, Canadian brands, fashion models, and influencers. Today, I create in wearable art mediums but my experience is much more diverse.​

I'm formally educated by the Alberta University of the Arts where I earned my BFA. There, I practiced a wide range of mediums such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and more. I'm well versed in the art fundamentals such as figure drawing, colour theory, and perspective. Even before my undergrad, I took art seriously as a young aspiring artist. In high school, I enrolled the International Baccalaureate Program so that I could learn art at a more sophisticated level.

 

Looking back at my journey, I believe that there are many ways in which beginner artists can be guided more effectively. Mainstream art classes tend to be unfulfilling and unchallenging for those who are creative. In my teaching experience, even young elementary aged children can learn nuanced techniques such as pencil shading. Moreover, everyone has unique goals and artistic tendencies that can be fostered with an experienced mentor.

This is why I'm now opening up my schedule to teach a few students who are passionate about art and can benefit from learning skills beyond grade school and who wants to develop their style and grow confidence as an emerging artist in the online world.
